As the farm’s wine production increased, it faced the challenge of distinguishing multiple categories and varieties while ensuring that the family felt unified overall. Granor needed an identity for the range that could flex to convey the individuality and agricultural richness behind each of the wines.
We believed that illustration provided the perfect opportunity to create this balance, introducing a distinctive visual asset that could adapt across varieties and scale to incorporate future bottlings. Taking inspiration from the natural environment of the farm ensured that the approach remained rooted in its overall brand identity and felt true to the essence of Granor – respected for its certified organic status, agricultural philosophy, and commitment to nurturing the local landscape.
Granor needed an identity for the range that could flex to convey the individuality and agricultural richness behind each of the wines.
We began by exploring the flora and fauna which thrive on and around Granor Farm throughout the seasons – considering how these could become symbolic markers for different varieties of wines. Experimentation with illustration styles ranging from traditional botanical linework, to more contemporary, graphic interpretations, led us to a stylistic approach that felt expressive and characterful while retaining a refined elegance.
The resulting ink and watercolour illustrations play a meaningful role, without dominating the design. A simple monogram and clean typographic treatment remain consistent across the range, creating a clear hierarchy and distinctive on-shelf presence. All providing a simple yet carefully crafted framework that can be built upon as the offering grows.

The illustrations provide each of the wines with their own unique visual signature – and provide an opportunity for Granor to tell the deeper stories behind the land from which they have been produced. Connecting customers with a sense of place and provenance key to the farm’s ethos.
The core range of table and sparkling wines use a monochromatic palette, while single vineyard variations introduce colour within illustrations to signal their specialty nature. With the stylistic approach clearly set, the suite can be easily added to over time – drawing on the abundance of wildlife which the farm’s operations help to support.
The illustrations provide each of the wines with their own unique visual signature.
The direction we have put in place will provide an enduring framework for Granor’s long-term winemaking ambitions. As its programme continues to grow, more illustrations can be introduced within the established structure to represent new and seasonal variations – allowing each bottle to tell its own story with character and charm, while building a recognisable family of products.
Grounding the illustrative approach in the ecology of the farm, ensures that the Granor wine brand remains truly authentic, supporting the wider mission to not only produce high quality food and drink, but to educate people on where these products come from. The end result is an engaging, flexible identity that celebrates the natural world at the very heart of Granor Farm.
The direction we have put in place will provide an enduring framework for Granor’s long-term winemaking ambitions.
